Kelly Simants, SHRM-SCP has over 20 years of experience in the Human Resources field, with a true passion for people. She is currently a Senior Human Resources Consultant with Nevada HR Team. She has also been a serial entrepreneur in the events industry, owning her own boutique event planning firm – Sweet Pea Events with offices in Dallas, Seattle, and NYC. Kelly also trained and consulted with small businesses around the country with Sage Wedding Pros, helping entrepreneurs write strategic business plans and create innovative Human Resources strategies.  Outside of work, Kelly enjoys spending time with her family, coffee and wine, and travel.

In the episode, Kelly and Cam share how both of their experiences of failing and learning gave them the insight to build better businesses. Kelly touches on how even when you think your big idea is so great and others agree, it might not be. Sometimes we go all-in on an idea for it to flop, and that’s ok. It is totally a way of life and life in business, but it’s what we learn from those experiences that make a difference in how you move forward in other ventures.
