This week, we had the privilege of sitting down to chat with Rhoda Brimberry and Anna Crelia, founders of Loot Rentals located in Austin, Tx, and most recently branching out their second location in Fort Worth, Tx. How refreshing it was to speak with another rental company about successes, failures, challenges, and inspirations regarding business decisions,  developing brands, and striving to balance personal life and work all at once – not to mention amid navigating a global pandemic.

Managing a typical work-life balance can be challenging in itself, and as the world is quickly altering we find ourselves seeking new ways and fresh opportunities to build our brands in our businesses while maintaining structure in our homes. 

We’ll let you in on a little secret – here are some ways our team continues to build our brand on a daily basis:

Taking this time to not only slow down but to reevaluate and analyze what it is we can do to methodically polish our workflows, our working space, our routines – whatever it is we do on a daily basis – and refining our processes in ways we may previously never had the time for. At home, we work on intentionally creating time to spend with our families we may not have thought we had before. Set aside specific blocks for family time, even if that means waking up a little earlier. 

At work, connecting with our employees, our coworkers; creating space to check in on their well-being. Reserving time each day for team check-ins to ensure deadlines are being met, and we are all on the same page. Scheduling time blocks on your calendar for daily projects that ensure efficiency and productivity for each task. Hosting team brainstorming sessions on ideas that manifest brand growth, and supporting each other’s ideas to either grow upon or agree to set aside for later.

The secret is finding value in stillness, and utilizing your time and skills to evaluate your current state, and how it can improve.
