But wait – how can we store all of this while keeping our warehouse visually appealing to our clients? Well, you’ve come to the right place, friend. Here are some of our favorite tricks to keeping your warehouse organized while still displaying your best pieces. 

Strategy 01. Heavy + bulky items – to the floor! 

This may seem obvious, but no one on the team is going to want to put your backdrops on the top shelf. This not only saves you on time (and maybe some lives) but allows for easier, safer, and faster transportation of pieces for your team. Plus, your clients have easy access to your biggest and prettiest pieces upfront – talk about a wow factor!

Strategy 02. Popular items to the front, please! 

 

Go through your space right now and pick out your most popular pieces. Maybe pick some of your personal favorites that represent you and your brand. Then, put them in the front of your warehouse, your office, wherever it is you hold your inventory. When you have those client meetings or walk-ins, you can effortlessly show off your best pieces. Trust us, they will start to sell themselves. Your warehouse team can benefit from this too, as the pieces going out most frequently are close by and ready for load up – total win-win for everyone. 

Strategy 03. Grouping like-items together by size, color, and material

This will make your life, your team’s lives, and your client’s lives so much easier, and here’s why. It’s all about organization, people! Think about it: do you or your team want to come into work, prepare an order, and have to run around the warehouse to find your pieces? How much time do you think you would waste? Or, would you rather have specific places for pieces that are similar, so you can know where to run to load up a bar, or find that velvet sofa. This makes it easier for your visiting clients to visually digest everything that is happening around them when showing them pieces for their upcoming events or helping them visualize an idea. 

Utilize your time to come up with a game plan with your team to reorganize your space. Heck, make it a pizza party!
